  • Positive and Negative Review of the Lenovo S920

My friend just recently bought a new Lenovo S920 last week and he was having trouble familiarizing on how to use it. Since he doesn't have the time to play and learn how to use his Smartphone, I borrowed it for the meantime. I've been using it now for more than two months now and I noticed some pros and cons that I would like to share.

    Pros

  • The camera captures excellent photos as well as good quality video clips
  • Battery backup works perfectly
  • Crystal clear screen display
  • Operates or executes applications very fast due to its quad core processor
  • UI is colorful with plenty of options for customization
  • Power saving option is very manageable

  • Cons

  • Careless owners will most likely place their device on any surface. With such carelessness, the exposed camera lens might get scratched
  • Most high-end Smartphone have higher internal memory as compared to this one
  • When Messaging, the 'Enter key' appears to be missing. Anyway, the solution that I found is to install a third party keyboard
  • Built-in app for notes is not available
  • Quite hard to organize list of contacts because there's no option to filter out email addresses without phone numbers
  • Smart roll is not supported
  • When using Gadget Accu Weather, the device will ask for your location but when you do not want to enter your location, there's no option for you to quit. The only possible method to quit is to go back into the background
  • At first, I noticed that there's a typo from the vibration profile description. It says 'witch' instead of 'switch'. Anyway, this can be fixed by upgrading the phone
  • Receiving a new message will cause a new window to pop-up. However, if you are going to select the 'read' option it won't do anything. The solution is to turn-off the pop-up feature from the device's setting

  • Moreover, Lenovo S920 comes with a very reasonable price especially in the Philippines which is worth Php13,500 only.
